We hired Olde Towne Builders to construct a new house in Hampton Bays 3 years ago and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Jeff and Rich were easy to work with, extremely attentive and clearly concerned with quality workmanship. They went out of their way to look out for out best interests and were extremely responsive to our questions and issues that arose post-construction. Olde Towne’s employees and subcontractors were all pleasant, responsible and trustworthy. We also had great faith in the people Olde Town recommended to us for work on the project that was outside of their expertise. The building process went as smoothly as one could possibly go and the finished product is an extraordinarily attractive home – thanks to many recommendations and improvements they suggested along the way. I began planning a kitchen renovation with Danny Stovall in May of 2007. From conception to completion, the job ran between 6-8 weeks. The actual construction was completed within 4 weeks. After hearing about many renovation “nightmares,” Danny exceeded my expectations and provided my family with an exceptional overall experience. I was unsure of many details, but certainly had limited space and a budget to work within. From the very beginning, Danny worked with me to visualize the kitchen I’ve always wanted. He even designed one of my favorite cabinet units. He was able to stay within my budget, and he was very attentive and responsive. I had a lot of questions and he was always available to answer them. He returned calls in a timely manner and continually updated me on the progression of the work. I was amazed by the cleanliness of the worksite, especially knowing the amount of work we had done. Attention to detail is what sets Danny apart from others. The little things always mattered. He was extremely knowledgeable, and offered ideas (again, within my budget) that I would have never thought of. I have recently had the pleasure of working with Danny Stovall from Olde Towne Builders when I had renovations done to my home. Prior to the beginning of the project, Danny met with me and my husband to assess what was needed. He was extremely conscience, helpful and proficient in his expertise, making suggestions for modifications that I had not even thought of. He worked with the trades to provide me with the highest quality of workmanship. Whenever there was a question, Danny was always available to address an issue. He made sure that the project was running along smoothly, on time and within the budget that we had allotted. He would visit the site on a regular basis to ensure that the work was progressing to his satisfaction. If anything was ever out of order, he addressed it immediately and had it redone if necessary. When he told me the job would begin, it began. When he told me a specific contractor would be there, they were there. The contractors were very skillful and completed their tasks to my satisfaction. They were very proud of their work and it certainly was apparent. Each day they cleaned up the debris and left the jobsite clean. In this time when quality contractors are hard to find or who even call you back, it is remarkable to find an individual who is so dedicated to his profession and is concerned about his reputation. My “tale” is so opposite the usual “working with a general Contractors nightmare” Story that I would like to share it with you. September 2003 – my dream was to be able to build a cottage on my property. Knowing that I was leaving for Florida for the winter, I asked Jeff Druek of Olde Towne Builders if this was possible before I left. In two short weeks, all the plans were drawn, application filed, and budget completed. This cottage was going to be built and completed, all while I was gone! I would never contemplate doing this with anyone else, but I had seen Jeff’s work on many homes in the neighborhood and knew that his workmanship and taste were impeccable. So off I went without a worry!
Over the next few months we had just a few phone calls basically deciding on paint color and cabinet style. Everything else had been covered in the plan. May 2004 - My dream is realized!! I arrived home to a beautiful new cedar shingled cottage which surpassed all my expectations. I have done many renovations before, both in Manhattan and in the Hamptons, and have never had such a wonderful, worry-free experience. They say they are a “service-oriented company” – and for once, you can believe that it’s true. This is a Team of total professionals. You delivered when promised, explained delays in detail, listened when we were frustrated, and gave us confidence when needed. When we were expecting to only build an addition onto our home we found a severe termite problem. We had to demolish. While beginning the process of looking around for a contractor to build our addition we really wanted to stay simple- efficient and inexpensive. Typically unheard of in the Hamptons. We sent our bid to 3 companies and we decided to use Old Towne Builders. It turned out to be a great decions. They were professional, knowledgeable, and honest and the quality of the work was fantastic. Rich was a pleasure to deal with along with the foreman on the job. The one thing that impressed me the most was that the job was done when they said it would be done (even ahead of schedule) and the price was the same as when we started. Olde Towne Builders – Savior for Trade Supply Group
My experience using Olde Towne Builders on my most recent commercial project has been such a positive experience and therefore I was compelled to write about it.
In May 2006 we purchased our largest vendor which operated 2 facilities for 85 years. Unfortunately this business was a sick company and our plan was to consolidate the 2 locations (Glendale Queens & Deer Park Long Island) into a single more affordable Long Island location and create a profitable entity.
We had 6 months to find and purchase a building as well as renovate this location since all buildings on the market did not fit our consolidated needs.
We hired Olde Towne to take on this challenging project, and the objective was to move lightning fast, and not sacrifice in quality.
Not only did Olde Town get the project done within the extreme time constraints, they delivered a quality product and were able to provide solutions to the surprises that developed along the way. Rich Bosworth was able to communicate on weekly meetings with the Architect, Expediter and the Department of Buildings for the Town of Smithtown. There is no doubt that without the expertise and experience that Olde Towne was able to provide there was no way the project was going to be complete in time and that would have cost our business hundreds of thousands of dollars.
I can only provide the highest recommendation possible for Olde Towne Builders and Rich Bosworth. Olde Towne had professional and quality sub contractors that cared about our project and conducted themselves as it was their own. I honestly believe that no other contractor would have been able to deliver a Certificate of Occupancy within the time frame we needed, and this made a risky acquisition a profitable reality.
I will never use another General contracting firm to do my commercial work!
